Nope, not shady....this is just the way their part of the globe deals.
Dale Carnegie used to say in his book %26quot;how to win friends and influence people%26quot; that you should always %26quot;speak the other person%26#039;s language%26quot; and that%26#039;s how the world runs. If you want to deal with them (China) you have to deal on their terms.
