I think I got scammed...?

I bought something off www.tradekey.com for $218. I send the money through western union off of my credit card. I haven%26#039;t recieved a response from the seller.

How can I report this and get my money back? where do I start.

Please no stupid answers like %26quot;youre not getting it back, youre stupid%26quot;

I think I got scammed...?

report it to your credit card company and call western union and see if the person has picked up the transfer and if not stop it and tell them you got scammed but need to do to now

I think I got scammed...?

How long has it been since you purchased the item? Sometimes it takes a while for items purchased via the Internet because they are often %26quot;drop shipped%26quot; from different location.

Check there web site and look for their procedures on how to get a refund. Also %26quot;google%26quot; their company to find out more. The true company name should be listed at the bottom of their home page, not their web site name.

I think I got scammed...?

have western union do a trace on the person who cashed the check when they go it.

but actually try calling your credit card company.

I think I got scammed...?

Call your bank and ask to speak to somebody in fraud prevention. Although it may not be anything that the bank can fix, the person you speak to may be able to give you some advice and possibly point you in the direction of someone who can.

I think I got scammed...?

how long has it been since u sent the money? if it has been a long time you might need to cancel your credit card in case u did get scammed. u can also notify the police. this should be a warning to always be cautious.

I think I got scammed...?

That depends how long ago you wired the money. If it has been more that 3 or four days i would call western Union and see if they can reverse the charge. It may be possible that you were scamed because who uses western union most legitimate companies will take your credit card number and process it. I suspect you were scamed because its easy to reverse a charge on your card rather than reverse it through western union

I think I got scammed...?

First, try being patient. A lot of these people are selling stuff as a side job and have other lives.

Second, don%26#039;t waste time calling your bank. They can%26#039;t help. The credit card transaction was to pay Western Union to send the wire. Western Union did, so you have nothing to dispute as far as the credit card transaction. The bank doesn%26#039;t have anything to do with what you did with the money after the transaction.

I think I got scammed...?

I have heard of trafe key. Are you purchasing products from tradekey or a person who lists products on tradekey. If so and it sbeen over a week and the seller hasny contacted you or shipped anything you need to file a complaint with tradekey. If they are a legitimate company who just doesnt operate in a good manner this will put pressure on them to solve your matter because they probably dont want to be kicked off tradekey or loose more business. Also file a complaint with the Better Business Beruea. If it was a private seller you may have to take your lose. Always be very carefull when it comes to paying through western union. Many scams on the net can only recieve money this way.

I think I got scammed...?

I am not sure how you would know there is a problem. The seller has not had time to even go to the post office yet.

Does the buyer have any history of sales (not sure how tradekey works) and completing transactions?

Was the purchase something that seemed too good to be true? Was the money order picked up in say Nigeria and the sell said he was in some other city? If so, that might indicate there is a problem.

If you get your merchandise, OK, if not then you were scammed and there is most likely nothing to do. The amount is small, the scammer is most likely overseas, any cell phone and email will be shut down in a few days anyway. So just call it learning experience.
